Sunday afternoon

My husband is watching football and the commentator is talking about pastry! He kept on and on about how one of the teams needed turnovers; that they hadn't had any turnovers during the game; there had been a lack of turnovers all seasons...

Well maybe they don't like turnovers, maybe they prefer donuts or even crullers, maybe even a nice Danish...

What's with all this pastry talk during a football game?

    1. I was trying to read and all that guy was talking about was turnovers, so I remarked, well you read it above - my husband cracked up too...

  3. LOL. Should athletes who are trying to stay in shape even be eating such things?

    1. I talk back to the tv all the time and/or keep up a running commentary on ehat I am hearing or seeing, that said - I've got a twisted little mind.

  4. Some Canadians, particularly those who get their coffee fix (usually a "double double") from Tim Hortons, pronounce to crooller rather than cruller. I like their honey crullers, but I'm the odd person out for saying cruller.

    1. I've seen cruller spelled 'kruller' but probably only at Krispy Kreme. I've never been to a tim Horton's but I am told they are most excellent.
