That's a tiny bit of an improvement.

With all of Frankie's colorful blankets gone I thought the living room was kinda drab looking -

Those little pillows are covered in a shiny grey fabric with an iridescent loopy-circle pattern. When I bought those covers I had a loveseat with bright orange cushions and it looked very bright and fun. Then when I bought this loveseat a few months ago the pillows just blended right in since they are almost the same color as the leather. But it didn't matter because I had crocheted a blanket for Frankie that was orange, yellow, green, red ombre. Truly bright.

Because orange is my new yellow, or purple, I replaced those pillow covers with orange - same fabric and pattern just - orange.

Now isn't that a bit better?

  1. I love the new pillows and how well the color ties in with the painting.

    1. Great story about that print - A friend posted a photo of her cats and in the background was that print (hers has a black frame). I asked her where she got it and she said at a arts and craft show near where she lives in Oregon. She gave me the name of the artist. The artist paints watercolors then reproduces the watercolors as giclee photo prints for sale. I tracked down the artist's website and contacted her to ask if there were any more prints available - they are signed and numbered. She was kind enough to respond and said she would have one more done. The picture is called "The Orange Cat" and the frame is metallic and the same red as the blanket the cat is lying on. WHen I have something framed I pick a color from the center of the art work and match the frame to that color. So - once again - nothing matches. The frame matches the art work but none of the frames match each other...

    1. Thanks, I think so too. You probably didn't see it, because you were commenting as I was answering Mary, but I told her the story of how I got that print. I probably look at that print more than any other because it is in my direct line of sight from where I sit at the dining table.

    2. I hadn't seen the comment to Mary until I came back today. I'm glad it all worked out that you were able to get that print! I see mine every time I go upstairs or go into the office to visit J throughout the day. I love the colors and the kitty in it! It makes me happy!

    1. Thanks - I've never been much for throw pillows and these are the only 2 I have but they do add a bit pizazz - the upside od throw pillows is once you buy the pillow it is super easy and inexpensive to change the covers as whim and whimsy move you. The original grey pillows against the original orange loveseat was just right and now the orange pillows against the grey loveseat is just right too!

    1. I like my bright colors and oddly enough the previous loveseat had orange cushions with the grey pillows - I'm nothing if not consistent! (The blog on WP is a duplicate of this one, so if it's easier to read and comment there have at it. One blog for WP people, one for Blogger people - everyone is happy.)
